What are H-Blocks for on aggressive inline skates? Do you have to have them?

H-blocks are mainly found on older skates. They were conceived as a hard piece of plastic to place in your skate frames between the 2nd and 3rd wheel. The purpose was to give the frames more stability for grinds like royales and frontsides as well as to help the frames last longer.

These days aggressive skate frames are built much stronger and sturdier and most, if not all, come with support between the wheels for grinding.

If you have an older pair of skates you may need to find an H-block to give your frames longer life.

Best of luck and happy skating!
