I've just been wondering which companies people prefer and which ones have the best equipment for an up-and-coming skter.

If you're looking for skates, there are quite a few reputable companies out there that have a heavy focus on aggressive inline. Some are:





Rollerblade


Razors


USD


Valo





For a beginner in the sport, I would look to Rollerblade or Razors for skates. They have a good entry-level offering which really only means a lower price. Their products are great and the only real difference between their "entry-level" and top of the line skates are the add ons (wheels, frames, etc). You'll still get a good bang for your buck.
