Does inline skating have any popularity at all in japan?

Does inline skating have any popularity in the young crowd in japan (at all)? I'm going to go visit my grandmother down there in november for a year and I wanted to know If I could bring my rollerblades to ride around there. Would there be anyone riding blades or skating in general around there? I'm going to tokyo and she might bring me to visit my uncle who lives down in osaka so I wanted to know if skatings popular in those areas. And what areas are they popular in (if any)

1 more question. if I have a family member living over in japan and is a native member of the country, does that mean I still need some kind of visa to move over there for good. Cant I just move to the persons house since I have family over there? My grandmother wanted my to move over with her and the family she lives with for a long time and I want to too.

Thanks guys!

yes due to lack of incompidence
Reply:What is inline skating?
Reply:I see skaters sometimes, though more skateboards than rollerblades. I'm not sure if that's enough to mean its popular but that's what I see!
Reply:Regulations regarding skating on the street or in public places are strickter than in the US, but some kids still enjoy it. As you may know, the father of Yasutoko brothers runs a skatepark in Kobe, which is not far fom Osaka.
