What are aggressive skates?

whats the difference between aggressive skates and inline skates?

What are aggressive skates?
Agressive skates are a specialized form of inline skates.

They have very small hard wheels with a flat profile to make landing off of a jump more stable.

They have notches between the 2nd and 3rd wheel so that you can ride a rail or the edge of an object better.

They have replaceable grind plates on the sole and frame so that sliding along objects do not destroy the skates.

They tend to be built heavier so that the pounding that they take on landings don't break them.

You could use other inline skates for agressive skating but they won't work as well as those designed for that purpose.

In similar manner, agressive skates have some drawbacks when used for recreational/fitness skating.

The small wheels take more effort to skate with than larger wheels.

The flat profile on the wheels take more effort to skate with than the typical rounded profile.

The hard plastic jars you more and slips easier on the ground than the typical inline wheels.

The heavier skates tire you more while skating than the lighter rec/fitness skates.
