Think my ex broke into my apartment, stole my skates and her apartment keys. Can I press charges?

Came home last friday night to find 1 hockey skate, 1 inline skate and her apartment keys missing (I broke up with her 3 months ago). My neighbor says he saw someone looking like her. She has no keys to my apartment, there was no forced entry. I called and emailed her and she denied it, says she wasn't here and has no idea what I'm talking about. All I have to go by is my neighbor. Can I press charges? I've repeatedly called and emailed her to get her to confess. She has since filed a report with the police against me for aggravated harassment. I also went to her apartment with a friend, spoke with her super and tried to get him to let me into her place to see if my things were there on the pretense I misplaced my keys. He wouldn't let me in. I'm sure he's told her and she's gone to the police with this as well. Do I have any type of case given the circumstances, her with no key, no forced entry, they're skates, her already filing a complaint, do I have any type of case?

Without some kind of REAL evidence, you don't have anything.
Reply:No evidence, no case.
Reply:you have no evidence. If you press charges you will be sued and lose for false arrest.

You sound like you are close to breaking quite a few laws.

I would guess you will soon be the guest of the state for at least 90 days

STOP HARASSING YOUR EX
Reply:If I were you I would have my locks changed. Then, I would totally avoid contact with the ex, if you keep bothering her to confess, she'll probably get to file harassment against you. She already has the super to testify and say you tried to gain access to her place. She can't bag you on aggravated harassment unless you threaten her with physical or mental harm. Just stay away and be glad you are rid of her. You unfortunately don't have much in the way of proof. It's not worth it.
